Does SimPE make your computer/Sims 2 Run Slower?

I really want to know this because I wouldt like to get SimPE but am afraid of what it might do to the computer. Suggestions?:confused:

Ive used SimPE since its lauch till now, and it doesnt do any harm to your computer. So dont worry about it :D

I only use Simpe to alter the Exchange pics when I upload a lot but I have not noticed a difference in how my computer runs.
