sims uni problem...error report?

hey..i was trying to install the sims university..the installation went smoothly and everything,but when i tried to play it...this message appears:

The sims 2 uni has encountered a problem and needs to close. Sorry for the inconvennience. and below that,there's two buttons, "send error report" and "don't send"


someone told me that my com cannot cope with this expansion pack.Here are the specs.

Operating System:Micro windows xp home edition(5.1, build 2600)
system model: dimension 4300
processor: intel(r) pentium(r) 4 CPU 1.5ghz
memory: 512mb ram
direct x version:directx 9.0c(4.09.0000.0904)
device: nvidia geforce4 Ti 4600

Have you downloaded the patch for The Sims 2: University? Because if you haven't downloaded it yet then that might be the one causing your problem. In case you haven't downloaded the patch yet, you could download it here: http://thesims2.ea.com/update/
