Twins, but one isnt aging

Okay, I have a sim who had twins. i was surprised, but it happened. so eveyrhting was fine until their time to become toddlers came. the girl twin, [there's a boy and girl] became a toddler in time, but the boy sim didnt. he hasnt aged yet, he's about a day and a few hours overdue. why isnt he aging? i get the thing that says "Help with birthday" when my sim holds the baby but nothing happens.So much for twins...
What's wrong with it and how do I fix it?


--oh and one more problem, i fed my hamster and now everytime my sims do an action, the illustation of how the food is fed to the hamster's bowl is shown. i dont know why.

I have no answers for either problem, just wanted to share that I too am experiencing the one quoted above. So, you're not alone in that one. :)

The only suggestion I can share with you for the first issue is, have you bought the birthday cake and placed it on a counter or table? Maybe then your sims will automatically take the baby to the cake and he/she'll age. I know at times I have not and it has **forced** the aging anyhow. Maybe that's not the case in your situation though.

I'lm glad I'm not alone with the hamster thing lol.

I will try to buy a cake tomorrow when I get to play again. But I wonder why the girl twin aged without one... anyways. Thank you.:)

okay, it finally aged. but i dont know how or when. i saved it before i did this experiment:
i put time on the triple speed and then left to help my brother make his bed. then when i came back my baby was a toddler!! im guessing i just needed some more time. but im wondering why i need like 2 more days to age when they're suppose to be twins!! gets me pretty upset because i was planning to have them age at the same time evey time and stuff... :/

i to have had a problem with my twins not ageing wat i did is i locked the one baby in the room with a parent and then the parent just walked over there and he aged. it was pretty cool so i got to keep my twins. hope that works and helps yall
