Help!

I have the sims 2, university, nightlife, and out for business. I have all the system requirements and everything loads fine but when i get in a lot after a couple of minutes the screen fills with green splotches. how do you get that to stop? Also when i'm decorating the house when i move an object the way i want it automatically moves ina different direction.
