Well there I was after downloading my friend's sims 2 game, I downloaded the expansion (holiday pak Xmas one) she bought me, and when i put the CD of the expansion on it says please insert right CD.
Oh and is it normal to have only one CD in the box while there is space for two ?
Okay well when I play with the first Sims 2 (like the normal one) it works but I don't think I got the Xmas one on....
And I don't wanna uninstall the whole thing since i have loads of families going on :(
any ideas mates?
cheers

To play the holiday pack with just the base game, use the base game's CD.

I have a question, did she buy you the holiday stuff pack, or the actual Sims2 Holiday edition?
If it's the holiday stuff pack you should be able to use that cd to play the game. If not; have you tried putting in the original Sims2 disk from the base game? (that's what Flame meant)
If it's the Sims2 Holiday edition game, then it's a full game in itself and I believe you would need to uninstall your Sims2 and then install the Sims2 Holiday edition.

Okay; well that's the stuff pack. (notice it says pack in the description...and it's just 40 items add on)
Which CD were you trying to use? The Holiday Pack CD, or your Sims2 CD? If you're using the Holiday Pack CD, use the Sims2 CD instead and report back here if that works or doesn't work.

Then unfortunately we can't help you. And actually since you don't even have possession of the original sims2 game what you're doing is actually illegal. You need to buy the original game for your game to work.

well thing is i got quite annoyed because i bought the original sims 2 game a fewmonths ago and it had a technical problem (the cd, not my computer) and the people who sold it to me didn't want to refund me or do any exchange.
So....yeah, I didn't wanna buy another one.
thanks anyways

Did you attempt to contact EA? They can replace your disk for a minimal charge.

While it may be too late to get a free one, you can always get an exchange one for a small fee. It never hurts to try, especially since you can't legally use the game unless you have a legal CD to do it.
