My screen has pixelated!

I have just bought a new computer with a 19 inch screen, the screen is longer in width than height. The problem is that when i play the sims 2 on it, it goes all pixelated and boxy, the toolbar at the bottom is stretched so that i am unable to have both the acievements and the modd at the same time! Can anyone help me please? it worked perfectly on my old computer????

You have a widescreen monitor. It's becoming more popular nowadays so not to worry about that.


As for pixelated, I'm guessing you installed The Sims 2, but didn't apply the updated patches for both your graphics card and the game. Give that a shot.
