The Sims 2 installation

I've tried installing the game several times but it always stops at disc 4 at 77%! Anyone know why this is happening?

My computer is a toshiba that I got last year so it isn't old or anything..


1.60GHz processor
504 MB of RAM
Windows XP

I've personally been encountering this problem as well. It goes up to 100% and says a file failed to transfer - I've yet to try the solutions in the links I put up. Good luck! ;)
