Have you tried file cop?
Doesn't sound like an xp problem, but a comon corrupted head problem. File cop should find it.

i have used file cop and it didnt do anything. I have had many different heads and none have worked, i have been to sites people have recommended, none have worked, it crashed whenever i was going to choose them. Another friend bought livin large and tried to use any old head and the same thing happened to him and he is using xp, maybe you could try some heads then recommend the sites or the actually files and i could test them and tell what happens. Thanks

You could use something like simshow and check each head individually. Filecop doesn't pick up 100% of all corrupt files.

What usercreated items did you install? Objects, houses, skins, etc...

skins...its really odd, i have installed stacks of head skins and none work, but one, one that came with a body as well, but you dont need the body...maybe it is a problem with the ones like i got which most people thought it was in the first place. Maybe someone could recommmend a site that have heads that they know work. Thanks

Let's give this a shot. Remove all the usercreated content you installed recently. If you don't know, a good way to tell is to sort by date by right clicking, and selecting arrange by date.
