I was feeling a little bored, and decided to poll everyone, to find out what people's greatest fear is. (Ahem, is there a specific poll section?? um, oh well. oops) So, my number one fear is seperation. I have this big fear of people dying and leaving me behind, or moving away or whatever, just being seperated from them, it drives me crazy. What are your guy's greatest fears?

For me, my biggest phobia is sharks. They scare me.

Hat, you are a member of my grand-daughter's club. She doesn't like them at all. I don't mind them but we don't have anything here that can possibly hurt anyone.
Heights. I can't stand on a chair without getting dizzy. When anything has to be done to the house I stand at the bottom of the step ladders whilst my wife climbs them.
I recall an American pilot during the Bosnian conflict and he was talking about his fear of heights, which apparently did not apply whilst he was flying.

I'm not really scared of too many things... but spiders will make be a bit edgy.

I remember wasps and flies being 'zapped' (killed) on an automatic fly killer they had in a school where I worked. I suppose it might do the same to spiders?

I'm terrified of driving during winter storms (especially freezing rain).

Hehe. My one brother is scared of snakes... it's pretty funny actually. I'm sure that if one escaped he would stand on a chair and scream like a school girl. He doesn't like to admit that he's scared. :p

I think my biggest fear(s) is/are that my chronic pain will never end, that I won't be able to have children, and that my eyesight will continue to get worse to the point where I'm unable to do anything to correct it and just be legally blind all the time like my dad.... :(

Check this out folks:
F - False
E - Evidence
A - Appearing
R - Real
That's all fear is, False evidence appearing real. 99% of the time we miss out on great opportunities that would greatly enrich our lives because we are afraid to try.
I also know about chronic pain, mine is due to an injury in my lower back that is inoperable. And without my glasses, I am legally blind. But there is still hope! Check out some of the new pain management classes now being offered, I have and it does help.

Lol...well I am new to this thread and must admit that sometimes I have nightmares of one of my daughter's pet snakes/lizards getting loose in the night and writhing around somewhere that I might step on it or one of her hamsters setting up a breeding colony in one of my walls!!! EEEK!!
And, just for the record, Snake, isn't calling Froggie evil for showing a picture of a spider, kind of "the pot calling the kettle black"? I saw the picture of the shark you posted to scare poor Alapokey!!! :O lol

I don't like snakes much, and have a tendency to smash the unexpected spider. But I think I am most afraid of rejection...

I was told yesterday by my grandson that I had run over a grass snake. I didn't see it and I don't know whether he was telling the truth or 'sending me up' (is that the right expression? or should it be 'winding me up' - I am not sure about the state of my spring or whether you need one these days).
There are no very harmful snakes here in the U.K. The worst is the Adder (they multiply), but they run away if they hear you coming, which they generally do. I have seen two Adders - both in Pembrokeshire (West Wales), quite a few years ago.
I found a Stoat the other day - a dead one, I am afraid. I think one of our cats killed it. It was beautiful and not a bit frightening.

Yeah. Being anywhere's near a tornato would freak me out. A couple years back I had a few tornado warnings for my area; you could see the clouds getting that little tail like thing in them. It was freaking me out. O_o
Lets just say I'd never move to a place near Tornado Alley. :p
