I have a big problem. Hope Im in the right place. I have a lot of custom content as well as content on the game that will not open. I tried various programs and nothing. So of my custom content opened and downloaded but not all. This includes terrain as well. Is there something I can do to make it open? When I tell explorer to find the appropriate file all it does is give me a list of file extensions which my files already have. I can use custom content but not all of them and some of them came with the cd.

First, have you read through #19 of the FAQ: http://forums.worldsims.org/showthread.php?t=7695 where Mirelly explains about how to unpack downloads?

For most things, I use the Q Xpress Installer: http://qxpress.modthesims2.com/

It's convenient for me, but there are others, including Filemaid. (Do a search for that one.)

For some package files, I use The Sims2Pack Clean Installer: http://sims2pack.modthesims2.com/

the thread is of no help neither is the sims installer thing. It will not open for anything.
