sorry if this has been answered already, searched posts and could find nothing......running univ, nitlfe, fam fun, glamour
i have a house i have moved into and made mult modifications to. problem is lot is now too small, can't package my house and place it on a larger lot, nor can i increase size of lot i am now on. any solution? all i can figure is to place a huge blank lot and start from scratch, more work than i want to do. any cheats or ideas on how to place existing house on larger lot or resize lot i am on?
thanx for any suggestions

Go here: http://www.daysies.nu/index.php/category/modding-tools-handy-programs/ and scroll down until you see Lot Expander (August 28th post). I haven't personally tried it, but it's the only thing I can think of to help you.

thanks for link MegRen, for others who may read this post with similar desires there are a few issues:
1. must have OFB installed for newest (read LEAST buggy ver.), i do not
2. must have Microsoft .NET framework updated and working
3. max lot expansion is to 6X6
4. cool feature allows you to expand lot across a road, you can build on both sides and connect with floor tool, did i mention cool?
5. helps alot to be very familiar with sims2 filenaming, location, modification, etc, might be daunting for newbies
6. tool is best for creating very small lots like a 1X1
i am afraid of ruining an otherwise happily tweaked install, try on an experimental install before toying with something you have spent many sleepless nights growing, i am going to build new house on max size lot using normal game funcntions....several ideas brewing anyway
thanx again Meg, learned several things i didn't know before, always a good thing
happy simming

Yes, I also would really like to be able to increase lot size for an upcoming project. Does anybody know of any way I can place a blank 8x10 lot or some such? I really need quite a lot more room than the standard.

I'm sorry...I believe the game doesn't support anything above 6x6
