not sure if this is in the right place but if i use this cheat and something goes wrong would it affect the whole game permanently or would it just affect that lot.

It probably depends on which cheat and what happened ?
I try to back up the sims before I use a cheat. Just in case. Also the syntax has to be exact to the cheat, Including uppercase.And spaces.
