Performance question

So I've got all expansions and updates for sims 2 on my mac. I've got a 32 mb video card on my ibook with 512 vram. Is there any easy way of increasing performance besides the obvious or overclocking and furthermore if i were to upgrade to 1 gig of vram would it really make a diff. Thx

yeah you really should buy more ram, i think 512 is not enough to play the sims with all expansions the game would become slow
