SimCity Fansite Simphoni got an interview with Monte Cristo's Internet Director Philippe Da Silva to ask a few questions on "Cities Unlimited"

Thanks for pointing to it, Josh. It's a pretty exciting time in the citybuilding game world, with no less than three major releases planned for the next year: SimCity Societies, Cities Unlimited, and Building World, plus Spore. At Simphoni, we've made a commitment to cover all these games actively. I also want to begin coverage of The Sims at SIMphoni, but I am looking for a member who is a more active Sims 2 player than I am to drive our Sims forum. (I'm only a casual The Sims player myself.)

Philippe and other game developers have begun participating directly in the forums at Simphoni. They can't reveal much advance info about their upcoming games, of course, butthey are actively asking questions and gathering information about what the core players are looking for. I think they're watching and taking notes in a way that few game developers have done in the past. Developers are taking a far more interactive approach to communicating with the audience for their games.
