Well it hasn't been released yet so there isn't a whole lot we can tell you about it.
Check out the official sims2 website for details.

I think sayaka might be talking about pre ordering the game? Anyway, that's something I'm going to get. I've taken a look at the pics. I told myself that I wouldn't get it but then I thought "Screw that! I'm getting it anyway!"
*tut tut* What these sims games do to you..

roasting marshmallows is fun in real life too.
it gets like, extra sweet n stuff.
i'm excited about the japanese garden and the island thing (screenshots) at thesims2.com...
gosh, when I think EA has done enough exp.s to make sims 2 the best game ever, they come up with even better ideas. which i love!

I'm just looking forward to this EP as a whole. I really enjoyed sims1 vacation, my poor simmies we're on vacation every sim day of their lives  but I think this would be more intresting with the different vacation spots and so on :D
Oh!! Not forgetting the ship thingy :D

I don't know. I think it looks kind of lame. Think I'll wait until the vote's in on this one.
I think i agree with SBW. It does kind of look lame.

Isn't that marshmallow thing already in nightlife community lots.
Anyway, can someone link me the Bon Voyage screenshots on the official site I can't seem to find it anywhere.
Edit: Found them. Looks interesting. I hope it isn't one of those high quality but low quantity ep's like Pets. Sheezz...

I thought Vacation was a bit of a rip-off, so I don't know if this one will be worth the money (how much do EPs cost when they come out? $40? $30? I don't remember.). I'm kind of expecting it to be like Pets.
Anyone have any opinions on the Teen Style stuff pack? Now that I'm starting TS2 all over again, I've decided to majorly cut down on the downloads. I'm wondering if installing stuff packs slows down the game like downloads do.

I got the H&M stuff pack and it works just great. However, I heard FFS and glamour life had some problems, so you always take your chances. I think it's worth it if you like enough of the stuff. There are a lot of cute clothes with the pack so I don't feel I wasted my money. I couldn't see spending money on chicken suits that messed up my system, however.
But it's not so much the cost, for me anyway, as the potential to crash my machine for not much return. Pets wasn't really worth it, but I'm unwilling to get rid of the sims I have now, and besides, pathetic as it is, I'm now attached to the stupid little pixelly cats and dogs. Even the birds are fun.
So, yeah, I'm going to sit back and wait for the wreckage to clear. The only way BV would get me is if a) it had a lot of new interpersonal actions that added some realism or b) if the vacation spots and/or attendant architecture and furniture and so forth was really, REALLY cool.
So SBW, is H&M stuff worth it? Teen stuff looks ok i guess, i really wouldnt use any of the goth stuff, too tacky.
Our Wal-Mart's price for Bon Voyage is 29.82$ Not too bad i suppose.

I like the clothes. It depends on if you like the styles, I guess. They've got some kind of trendy, more modest looking outfits, and some fun new guy stuff, which is what sold me. The guys always get ripped off.
If you're interested in a picture, Romeo's wearing my favorite, the old hoodie and faded jeans combo, in my Veronaville story. They also have a nice not-tucked shirt and shorts combo, a beachcomber pants and checked shirt combo, and some nice suits. Benedick wears one: I think I posted a picture of him in it somewhere.
A lot of it comes in teen as well.

One realizes that when she sees advertisements for a Sims expansion in the Sunday paper and she thinks "Wow, it's out already? I didn't know that..." then it looks like she's not excited/interested/keeping up with the news. :o
Until I get a great enough incentive to buy (and believe me, it took a lot to convince me to get OFB and look how that turned out :)) then I may actually skip an expansion. Either that or wait til it's $15 someplace like Pets. :o

I skipped OFB because I just don't see the point of running your own stores in TS2... And yeah, yeah, so people have said that it's the best EP ever--not counting Seasons-- but it's still gonna take a lot of convincing for me to buy it. I might in the end though... when the prices have gone down.
Put it like this. There are lots of other games out there that I'd rather buy first. :o

Well most of you are lucky.
I have to pay $90 to $105 for new games.
The advantage to this is, I buy the games later when the price comes down and the patches are out. I don't like to buy a game at a high price only to be a beta tester.:D

I bought Bon Voyage yesterday and it cost £20 (that's $40), and £13 (so $26) for the Prima Guide. All in all, a whopping amount for an EP and guide that I only bought out of curiosity. I must admit, I haven't read anything online about this EP so far - it's all new to me. I have no expectations so it's going to be interesting to see what the fuss is about. :)
So far, I've installed it and checked out the CAS things such as jewellery, new Turn Ons/Turn Offs etc, but no vacations yet. I'm gonna read some more of the guide and then take a family on vacation. :)
