Maxis has confirmed behind closed doors that there are plans to expand Spore's franchise beyond the scoop of the PC and into the console markets like Xbox 360, the PS3 and Wii.
When asked whether Spore will hit consoles Maxis exec Patrick Buechener replied, "Not right now, but we see this as a franchise." He added, "It just won't be at launch."
