City Life 2008 announced!

Hi all, just a quick entry to let you know that we will be delivering later this year an expansion to City Life & City Life Deluxe called City Life 2008.

This is not on any way related to Cities Unlimited which still stands for a new game in the genre, but we felt that we could easily provide our current City Life fans with some more buildings, more maps and scenarios, a revisited Editor which will allow you to import grayscale bitmaps for your terrains directly from software such as World-Machine.

The official release date of City Life 2008 in France is today, Friday November 23. It was released in Germany last Saturday, the 17th. The release dates in all other countries have not yet been officially determined.

SIMphoni (http://www.simphoni.net/) has what I believe to be the first-ever, and so far the only, review (http://www.simphoni.net/2007/11/social-interaction-in-city-life-2008-edition-a-review-by-rex-stanfield/) of City Life 2008. The forum thread of the review (http://www.simphoni.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=15223) contains a lot more information and discussion about the game. SIMphoni is, as far as I know, to date the only fan site forum to officially cover City Life 2008 with its own forum category (http://www.simphoni.net/forums/index.php?showforum=98).

City Life is a far better game than most people have given it credit for, in all the excitement about SimCity Societies and Cities Unlimited. Take a second look at this game, you'll find it worthy of your attention.
