Post Your Ideas for The Best Sims 2!!

Well just starting a thread on items you want to see in The Sims 2

A few of the ideas I had were:

1) Driveable Cars
2) Aging
3) Networkable (meaning play via LAN or with friends over internet)
4) Multiple Floors
5) Real Time Shading like in DOOM 3
6) Official Object Creation Tool
7) Business Model Oriented (like able to goto work with your sims)

individual clothes choices; different clothes in different sims closets.
So they don't all have to wear the same thing.

They already are making these.. sims go from tots to seniors to dead. and you can have mutliple floors, including basement and attic.

i think different needs for different sims would be cool, like one sim might only need 5 hours of sleep while another might need 9 hours of sleep and one sim could do with talking to one sim a week and another sim would have to talk to somesim every day for their social to be up... and so on..

I think that would be a very cool idea, Pez.
It would be nice to have sims with multiple personalities.

I hope they add enough new stuff to the game that it isn't like a new expansion where you get bored of it within a few weeks. :)

One question... will your sims be allowed to smoke and drink in this game so it'll affect them in later life?

I dont think they've said anything like that in the reviews/previews yet. but it would be cool to have that option. I wouldn't be too surprised if they dont have it, somethin like "dont want teenagers to think its ok to smoke cause their sims teenagers smoke" or somethin like :p

Very true. I wonder if unplanned events will affect them. Like in simcity you have the occasion ufo or hail storm?

Possibly, they have given small hints to things like that. Saying such things like "events in their early life will affect them all of their lives" and such. So who knows? I do know that planned events (school and such) affect them, like the choice to not study in school and not to work out/play sports and to eat junk food makes you an unattractive, lazy, unsucsessful sim most likely.

I think it would be cool to have different intelligences, like one sim be smarter than another sim and have that affect their school life. like if a sim teen doesnt do anything about getting help then they continue to fail school, and maybe even stay back a grade. and other sim children be simchild geniuses and be in high school when they are 12.

I think there should be community areas like in Unleashed, and not have to buy an expansion. There should be options to drive and if there are unplanned events, i think someone dying in a fire is a huge possibilty from what I've done in previous games (especially consoles versions). Lol It would be funny to see the fire in the new graphics system.

i wish i could watch the movies :( but i only get a 48k connection so it takes a few hours to download the whole movie :(:( still.. the image of a baby girl swinging around a ceiling fan is pretty funny :p

I think sims with mental disorders would cool :P and have to send them to a mental ward where other more 'sane' sims could visit them.. maybe even have white padded rooms :p

Lol that E3 trailer is so misleading. A lot of people now think that little kiddies can actually "burp out fire" in the Sims 2... :confused:

The potential story lines are endless. You could start with a premise like immigrant family from 3rd world comes to the big city.
Or the beginning of a fantasy world...

I think all the talk about babies breathing fire is from a trailer for the sims 2? Or is it based on the graphic showing the stages of life where the man is holding up a baby that has what looks to me like the baby throwing up on the man... but I can see how it could look like breathing fire... anyway, someone enlighten me about the fire because I haven't seen the trailers yet! :p

This little kid is playing with some toys on the floor and it catches on fire, I'm not sure how. And then as he grows up he keeps making things catch on fire by doing some breathing trick thing. I'm not sure how he's meant to do it. At the end he's married and he sets his bride's boquet on fire and she throws a tantrum.

Back to the topic: What I want in the Sims 2:

I want there to be clothes thrown around the place in the teens room when they get changed so their rooms can be messy.

I also don't like it how they can do two seconds of exercise on the machine and look like a body builder. I think they should have some simple little thing that adds up the amount of time you've spent working out over the past 100 days, divide it by 100, and that's how your sim will look on that day, so that the changes are more gradual.

I want there to be a 365 sim days in a sim year and for sims to age according to that.

I want Christmas and holloween.

Lots and lots of object choices. Being able to buy sims real presents instead of just giving pretend gifts.

I could go on and on and on....

There needs to be more than eight people in a family. Especially when they bring in the pets expansion. It's way to limited. I want to create my friends family which has seven kids and two parents, and I can't. And what if I wanted to do a really big Italian family that all live together in one house. Only eight people really sux, that's one of the first things that I thought they'd change. :angry:

But still really looking forwards to Sims 2 Anyway. Even if they don't change that, it's still going to be a hundred times better than the first one, and I played that one for hours and hours and hours...

I wonder if some Sims will have a pyromaniac tendancy.. imaging adding the insanity to them.. You're having a nice dinner with all of the neighbors when one of your Sims decides he's had to much, the fluter has driven him over the edge. (;)) He bars off all the exits and starts to cook some more food.. when the stove bursts into flames ingulfing the kitchen and the neighbors...

its stuff like this that make the sims 2 even better..... its gonna be so realistic that just doing that stuff would make u fell all happy inside :bunny:

They already do wash the dishes in the original sims game but I think it WOULD be fun to see them mowing the lawn and vacuuming the house, and I've heard of people working on hacking to make laundry machines so maybe Maxis heard of that and MIGHT put laundry in...

If they DO get to mow the lawn and vaccum how often do you think the house should need it done? ;)

Katrina, I think the easiest way to do what you want is to have the kids move next store to mom and pop (ala My Big Fat Greek Wedding). Pretty soon your whole neighborhood would be one "happy" family.

I guess you might be able to think of the maid as Alice when she comes over to clean?? I wonder if they'll have NPCs like the Butler in SuperStar or the robot maid/gardner/chef who you can ask to cook for you?

Mowing the lawns would be neat! And hanging out the laundrey on washing lines! And having to wash the dishes one dish at a time, and two people can do it to make it faster and that builds up their social as well as they chat together. And if they're close and in good moods they can chat more and laugh and play around and flick eachother with the teatowels and splash water at each other and put the soap suds on each others noses and cheeks and then the parents could tell them off for being silly or spilling water on the floor.... :)

I love the fairytale sims of course, since tons of what I go searching to download for the original sims is fantasy/faerie related! What all would you think should go in a fairytale sims expansion for sims 2?
