Help! cannot open sims 2

I bought the sims 2 deluxe and downloaded it right from the EA webite. It downloaded and installed just fine but when i try to play it, it says "The game cannot start. In order to launch this game please log in to the EA download manager to verify ownership, then try again" but i am logged into the download manager and it still wont play.i have not intalled the game on more than three computers either ,i just bought it and this is the only computer it has been on. And if it helps to know, i am running on Widows Vista Premium.

This is a problem you need to take uo with EA Games support, I'm afarid.

i've tried and everything they said isn't helping they just keep giving me automated responses...maybe ill try calling on monday...thanks anyway
