first off, I gotta ask something. has anyone sucessfully made any kind of mod's for The Sims? i dont mean like normal addons like objects, walls, etc. but something like extending the length of the the sims world. if so, read on. if not, then I guess the rest of this post is useless.

but, i think everybody will agree with me that The Sims Online is a really good game. but you may also agree that 1) it is a resource hog and 2) some of us just cant afford to both buy it and pay the monthly fee. my idea is that if someone has successfully modded the sims, that a fan-made online mod can probably be made. now, I know that if Maxis found out about this, they would have a cow about it, but im hoping that this can be smaller than TSO to ensure that better interaction between players can be done.

on a final note, dont flame me for this. just make intelligent posts.

Probably the most successful mods out there would be objects since they require codehacks

I was on TSO in the beginning when it was free, and I would have loved to have stayed but with the exchange rate (me being from Canada) it wasn't very cost efficient.
I agree that it in all, it is a good game. It would have been more enjoyable if it was free. :)

I am not sure how someone would go about creating a smaller version of TSO. But the idea is a nice one.
