how do i get sims 2 to work again?? [Archive] - Urban Online Entertainment Forums

i have been lucky with having no problem playing the sims 2 with my computer, exept now.. i diwnloaded the expansion pack and nothing workt anymore... i uinstalled everything and innstalled it again and nothing happend... it was a big red x but it had no writhing on it on whats going on... so i did my magic and my computer doesnt agree with me anymore.. i was surching for viruses and it found some... and i removed it. so installing the game is imposible!!! stupid message coming up failed to enumerate any DirectX 9 compattible graphic adapters in this system! i have done allot of things that is writen everywere and i only come to how i can se what com�uter i have!!! Arg! it stands that i do have directx 9 but NO! thats not good inough! i have updatet my driver and testet everything and everything is supose to work but it doesnt... what has happend? can anyone help? i suck as a geek so explain like you talking to a child, hehe. computers a not my friend allways an i am in a war with this one...

Please explain what you mean by "downloaded". Do you mean as in illegally or do you mean installed from a game you bought in a shop?

You said something about viruses... well, that's what illegally downloaded stuff does; it messes up your system.
