Herbavor or Carnavor?

When you are going to create your aniaml what do you plan on making first (meaning once you got the game what will you pick first) a herbavor creature or a carnavor one? Say why you picked it and all the good stuff. :smile: Or can there be both a herbavor and a carnavor?

I haven't realy decided yet, I want to see my creature be peaceful and friendly by being a herbavor, but I would also like to see a more darker side of them with big teeth and makeing them carnavor. :D I am stuck in a delama.

Mine will depend on alot of things, the look of it....if it looks nice or harsh, and also my policy of ruling the world...it will be more likely that i'll use a harsh cannibal if i'm a harsh ruler...and a charismatic ( :laughing2: ) herbivore creature that will rule the world with his economic wisdom :smile:

yah.. if the other creature just wont make peace.. My Yokins'll manipulate them to travel to a planet with no atmosphere, and throw them into suicide.. So manipulating creatures :smile:

Do You guys think a weapon could be a light-sword?? You know, the weapon from Star Wars? It could be,, since the whole word a focusing on the last movie??

Maybe they could have something like that instead of the little stick type thing with an arrow head at the top. It would be used for maybe the more tech. creatures. :D I know I am as well going to use the space ship to bring up people to drop them on planets and have them die/explode. :smile:

Yes, that would be cool if they would be omnavor, and just eat plants so the other creatures think its harmless and then they can go and be a carnavor and eat the creature that was coming toward them. :D That is what I want my Pilos to do. Yay! for omnavor.

there do exist that kind of animals.. I heard about a kinda.. electric eal who pretends they are plants and then other animals will eat little bites of them, and the eal keeps laying still, until SUDDENLY ,, BANG BOOM and the poor stupid animal is FOOD for the plant/eal...

Yeah, plants make their food with photosynthesis... but plants can't move, you know? I don't think that process generates energy fast enough to work well for active creatures =/

i think it would be cool if you could name your planet along with your races name. Like if your friend wanted to visit your planet on his or her game they could go to a star map and type in the name of the planet and jump into hyperspace and visit the planet or destroy if they pissed you off. :laughing2:

If you orientate on current leading specieis I would go for omnivore. Surely you can also switch from carnivore in one part of evolving to herbivore and then later in a civilized state you are omnivores. That would be interesting if they implement it.

I do think that herbivores would support themselves though and might be the easy route, seeing as all you have to do is build your speed. Guess we'll just have to wait until it's released to find out.

I'm going to have to say herbavore because they are fascinating to me. A herbavore needs to sometimes eat only a certain kind of plant, like the giant panda.

Becuase my creature would be a herbavore I would need to create it uniquely somewhat like the giraffe and it's eating habits, and you might have the obsticles (sp?) of rareness of plants, and evolution obsticles. I just think it would be fun to experiment with that.
