The entire idea of cyborgs is flawed. At the point in time where we have computers that can directly interpret brain signals at human or above speeds with full functionality, we'll have the technology to upload human minds directly onto computers. It won't be much of a difference, and the uploads will be a lot more powerful than any biological-machine combination.

Will Wright needs to start reading up on the Singularity.

I like the idea of having robots in it, they could work for your creature and even rebel, then you would have a new major enemy to fight or you could just run, build up a huge army and return, thats the thing I love about the concept of spore, is its so open-ended.

Cyborgs or pure robots. If you believe robots to be superior then make them instead of a cyborg.
