I am dissapointed yet realived that in the sims 2 u can only control 1 person:angry: :) since i want like alot of people it would be hard but i would hate not being able to control the i hope that this feature turns outnto be not tru

Hmm... where did you hear that? In the Sims 1 it's the same thing, isn't it? You can only control one person at a time. If that's what's being referred to in the Sims 2, then I wouldn't be dissapointed ;)

no it was on a french site and and two french people translated it sayin the same things no it means u can only control one person as in the rest of the the family do wat the want u cant control them at all

I went to that site (I can read a bit 'o French), and I only skimmed some parts, but it didn't seem to tell me much about that. I'm almost 90% sure that you'll be able to control other family members... They'd be no reason for Maxis to really take that option out (other than to aggravate their fans - but I seriously doubt that).

I would probably have to agree too. If Maxis took that out, they would be shooting themselves in the foot.

As for The Sims 2 picture they've sure updated the graphics. It's looking good so far.

Rumors are evil. I attempt to block them out of my mind at every attempt I get - especially the ones that describe the lack of a certain feature. I'd rather just wait until the game comes out and discover all the game's nuances for myself.:bunny:

reason #1: even tho TS2 is a new game, maxis is keeping the same basic gameplay
reason #2: don't u c the arrow next to the persons pic in the control panel? im guessing that means "switch to next person" when the panel is in (click on live mode again and it pops out.)

Actually it would be a challenge to not to be able to control the members of your own family other than your one character. Remember they say that your life birth to death will be scored somehow.

Personally I don't really like the whole idea of the life-score. I just enjoyed the simplicity in The Sims1 - no real goal or aim. Sure, it'd be good to have life's great moments... but in TS2 it seems as though every little miniscule thing, changes the future/behaiviour of a sim.

control will prolly be like sims1, you can control only one person at a time but have the option of switching to controlling a diff sim.

as for the life stuff, i agree that it does ad more realism. when you think about, is an employer really going to hire some one who has poor people skills and is a fat slob to be a policeman? i do hope they add characteristics like a 'deep' sim.. one that doesn't care how a sim looks.. anyway just my thoughts

Hmm... I'm probably misinterpreting but to me, it seems to me that to get a good Life Score, you've got to be the 'ultimate good sim'. I mean, could you be a sucessful sim, even if you were a vindictive plotter? I mean, that happens in real life as well. :confused:

They only thing I want from Maxis is to try and have the bugs worked out before the release date. Patches can be very irritating.

I'm sure you can control more than one sim. Otherwise you they would have said by now, that's a pretty big change to not mention, after everything else they've told us. I am mostly just posting this because I am trying to get in enough posts to enter the competition for the free Sims 2 game!!!! This is only my second post so I still have a lot to go yet...

Thanks Faeluna. This is actually kind of fun. I've read so many posts on Sims2 but never really bothered to post myself before. It was the chance of winning the Sims 2 that inspired me :) I have an awful lot of posting before I can enter though. Does anyone know how enter? And when do you have to have posted 400 times by?

singo, there is an austrailian time zone. Australian EAST Time. We can't accomdate every city in the world since it would be excessively large list.
