with new ram cant run sims :-(

i have had the sims 2 game for years now and after installing all the expansion packs i decided 2 buy a 1gb stick of ram to help it along and when i fitted the ram instead of running the screen goes blue and the pc resets itself :-S
does anyone else have any ideas?

Um ... Windows might be ignoring the new memory (I'm not sure how, though), but the game can't ignore it. The real question is does your motherboard support 1GB RAM sticks. Not all do ... and even so, you need a type of RAM that is made for your motherboard.

can you post your Mobo and RAM specs on this thread and I might be able to help. Like Mirelly above me said, you can't just snap in any old stick of RAM. Goodluck.
