5 mins of game play then no picture

I have just installed family fun stuff and nightlife and now i only get 5 mins game play before the picture cuts out i can still hear it but no see it, also i have to run it on the family fun stuff disc as it now says that the sims 2 is the wrong format to run the disc as its the dvd version. Any one have any ideas on how to fix this?

Do you have the chance of checking the cooler (fan) on your video card?
Sounds to me like the card is getting too hot and cuts out

As for family fun: I don't own that disc so I can't say if that's normal behavior (like with the expansion packs...I have to run off the BV Disc which is my latest expansion)
