random loading screens

i am running the Sims 2 with all the EPs and stuff packs, and for some reason i am getting random light-blue screens with a loading cursor while i am playing. thinking it was a hard drive problem, i ran a scan disk and defrag, but that didnt fix it. any ideas?:confused:

i am running:
Geforce 6600
1g ram
Windows XP Home

If you're playing the game with a crack that's likely a cause of any issues you're having. When you play it with the CD does it do that? If not...play with the CD, issue solved.
