Game start Problem

Umm... Every time i go to start the game the lancher comes up like it should and when i click the play button the sceen goes black ...like it should... then i hear a beep and the screen stays black and it shouldn't do that... I do Alt + Tab and i see some sort of error pop up... It says:

Game Exception

Unhandled exception: Input/output error
Type: class TMill::Common::Exception
File: c:\sc5patch\source\common\filestream.cpp

Line: 149

I did a search through My Computer and it shows up with nothing... So if anyone could help that would be the best thing in the world right now....

Did you install the latest patch?

Yeah i did, but it did nothing to change the error...

What directory was SCS installed to?

It's in the C:/ drive, Its in the main folder with all the other applications

The exact directory please. Telling me the base directory doesn't help :p

That error looks like a missing or already open file is interfering with startup. Though of course you'll have to find out what is missing or already open. Check your processes for the SCS executable, etc. (ctrl+alt+del)
