crash after intro

i bought simcity societies just before i left the country, it played well then.
Now i'm currently living in another country(for 4 months) so i used a no cd/dvd crack for simcity.
It worked for a couple of days, but now when i want to play it crashes right after the intro played.

I tried installing the 2 game patches that are released but that didn't help either.

Can someone help me out on this one, it would be boring if i had to spend the rest of my time here with my laptop and absolutely no games to play.

Probably need to reinstall the game. Technically when you install patches over cracked no-cd .exe files, it bugs it up. Happened to me with SimCity 4.

Also, I don't believe there is a No-cd patch for Societies Update #2. I wish they did have one (okay, they do but you have to have Dameon Tools, which I dont want). I would love to play the game and not have to dig it out of the case each time.

the problem is that it started acting up before i installed the patches.
it's gonna be a problem to reinstall as well because i left the dvd save at home(Holland, Netherlands), so i couldn't lose it on my trip here(Curaçao)

Ouch. Well...I don't know what to say. If it was running earlier on your computer, then I don't believe it to be a hardware issue. I mean, it's always possible.

Any ideas if you did anything to the game such as download any mods for the game?

Usually, No-CD patches cause these problems. I had the same issue in the past with a The Sims Makin' Magic no-cd patch. Luckily I always backup the original .exe file and ran it from the CD until another one was created.
