thats extremely good news! maxis wont even think about releasing the sims 2 untiil making magic is out. and with a bout 2 good months for MM to sell... they COuLD release the sims 2 in time for xmas! considering the fact that they get all the bugs out.... but yay! there might be hope!

I kind of think that's wishful thinking, but it is kind of funny that there are 2 expansion packs released this year. I suspect the sims is reaching the end of the line (giving way to s2 of course.)

its tru that TS2 cant come out till MM has sold well, so if it comes out in oct. TS2 will prob come out earlier than if MM was out in dec.... sry that was confusin (even to me) ;)

Anyway, back on topic - I still think that even if Maxis delay Sims2, there will STILL be bugs. I would rather have it come out early, and for them to release a patch. In my opinion, delaying a game, does not necessarily mean that it is for bug-ridding. There could be factors like distribution, administration and etc.

I just want them to come out with it. If theres a few bugs ok so wait for the patch. It was like when the sims first came out the repairman could be killed reparing the big screen tv. Oh that would have been interesting to see

I don't think it was that interesting... Probably just a glitch. There as another one where the gardener would become lodged in between furniture while trying to water a hard-to-reach plant... but I think it was corrected.

I imagine if your sim were to marry an npc like the maid or the gardener you'd have to hire a diff maid/gardener to do the work at your house, but the newly married one would still have their job. Think about it, if maid work/gardening is your job all day every day (or every 3 days), would you want to do it at home too?

I'm undecided. I really want to buy it, but I'm pretty sure I'll be sick of it after a week of playing it. That's how long it took me to tire of superstar. when it comes down to it, the game play is exactly the same as the other expansions, so I try everything once just to see it and then I'm bored with it.

I do agree it's along the same lines as the other expansions, you get new goals to work through and a new area to go to, but the new interactions and the whole carnival rides things are what's different for me on this one. :D

When I first read about the Makin Magic expansion I got to the part about having the family magic book and learning spells and stuff like that and it reminded me a lot of the tv show Charmed. ;)
