Trees in Societies?

I have a problem with my instaltion. the game works just fine and all, but when ever I try to plant trees, nothing happenes, the map is totally devoid of any vegatation, and planting trees dose nothing ( besides consuming the designated amount of cash it takes to plant them ). Can anybody tell me if there's something I can do about that? I set all the options in the video options menu to highest ( except shadows ).

Trees were made to not appear if you only have 512MB of ram. You'll need to upgrade your memory in order for them to appear.
