CVG interviewed Dr. Vu on Spore. During this interview, he commented on the power and potential Spore has.
Maxis' ideas for Spore are so vast that the game as it exists today represents only one percent of what the developer could do with it, according to producer Thomas Vu.
"Speaking as a developer, we always want more. With a game like Spore, when you start imagining what could be in there, the scope of it is enormous", Vu told us last week.

Ok...so let's assume that Spore is 1% worth of what Maxis can do. If they decided to reach 100% and maximize the game's potential, then we should have to look forward to 99 expansions packs, correct?
If that's the case, I'm going to need more shelf space! Sing with me:
99 expansions of Spore on the wall, 99 expansions of Spore. Take one down, pass it around, 98 expansions of Spore on the wall!

I bet the first expansion pack still just gives us twenty seven new styles of hat for our critters.

I think a good expansion pack would be to make your own planets and not have them look like what they are now. To me they just don't look right with the way the cities and landmarks all stick out from the surface. Does any of this make sense?

Minus a few editors, I'm not sure what else they could expand upon.

Ah, since it became clear that EAxis was determined to give us more hats than hairstyles I have been campaigning ironically for more hats in every game. There are never enough hats, I tell ya!

Glad to see we're agreed, Joshie :D
