Questions about Sims 2

Hello. I'm new here in case you haven't noticed. I just have a few questions I'm wondering about the Sims 2.

1. As we all know there will be weekends and stuff. But I noticed the calender thingy they're talking about saying "your son's bday is next Monday." Does this mean that there will be birthdays and holidays like Halloween or Christmas. And since in this game there are teenagers will there be graduation or other special high school events?

2. Will there be multiple neighborhoods like in the expansion packs or will we have to wait for an expansion pack for that kind of thing?

3. I can already see that we can create faces in here, but what about clothes? Will we be able to make clothes or have to download them off the net just like the first one?

Now I don't know if any of you here can answer these questions and I'll have to wait till Feb 2004 to find these things out, but it doesn't hurt to ask I guess.

1. As far as we know, there wont be holidays, but if someone knows for sure, PM me. And form the ts2 video, u see the parents pushing their children (in graduation outfits) out the door, so maybe there are graduations.

2. There will be only be one neighborhood but it will have 50 lots right guys?

3. There will be the ability to mix and matchs clothes, but no has been no info about making them.


if anyone finds that my info is wrong, please post it on here!! i want to make sure that we all get the right informations

on 1 the video- it wasn't game play so all the stuff in that might not b in the sims 2

1: Far as i know they haven't said anything about holidays and such... they would be cool tho (I'mmm... dreaming of a whiiiite Christmas :p)

2: i dont think i've seen anything about the number of neighborhoods.. i would think that there would be multiple ones.. and as far as i know the neighborhoods do have 50 or so lots..

3: i think you can pretty much change the clothes and stuff just like you do the face, i think i remember seeing that in a press release way back when.. like you can add tatoos and stuff.

I imported a milk bar from a japanese site, and all my sims1 love it. I hope there is something like that in 2.

So are sims2 going to be able to get drunk... And will the teens raid the liquid cabinet?

A milk bar? Sounds cool! As for the sims getting drunk, I notice all the bars and drinks in the game emphasise that they're supposed to NOT be alcohol, but they DO change how your sims act... so I don't know if the bars etc. would be adults only or not.

I wonder how making decisions like getting drunk would effect your sims life score... could they grow up to be an alcoholic and have trouble with work because they were hungover. ;)

also if teens were found having a party (if there parents found out) they can either get kicked outta the howse or grounded

If they DID have the option for the parents to kick the teens out of the house, where would you want your kicked out teen to end up in the game?

Can you call a cab and go places like a store or something like in TS1?Since I heard u can go buy your own clothes and food so u must be able to right?

yea my friend killz her sims in multiple ways n is prolly 'plottin' right now wut she'll do with TSD2'S SIMS! lol

I don't think I could bring myself to let my sims die on purpose.. guess I'm just a big softie. :p I have had them die in fires before though, poor things! I was so shocked I forgot I could just NOT save and have my sim back from before the time of the accident!

I think there will be a LOT more ways for your sims to die by accident in sims 2 though, with lighting for instance! I wonder what I'll have to do trying NOT to let my sims get killed! :p ...maybe there is a rubber insulated flooring.... ;)

By the way..if the objects are more 3-d ish...wont customizing stuff be more difficult?

Not unless Maxis releases official tools for it :)

if they release demos early of create a sim n furniture fabric thingy then by the time the game **** out, we'll all be masters of the tools

Customizing the furniture in your own colors sounds like it will be easy since they mentioned you can "reupholster" furniture using tools that come with the game. I'm not sure how difficult creating NEW user object content will be though!

I think there will be holidays (at least I hope so) because I read in an article somewhere that sims get time off work for weekends, surgery and public holidays. If they are having public holidays they'll most likely have Christmas and the other ones.

I think Sims can get drunk.

I also think that if you kick your sims out they go into the area where families are not moved in yet, not sure on that though.
