It's okay, Tim. Out of the 180 registered users at Alturas, only about 30 of them are active - and out of that, 20 are active enough to be a part of the Crucible project.

I wouldn't worry about it at all, but that's just my opinion.
This is a very lively fora - that's for sure!

Lew, this is my post at Alty regarding the Crucible project and program:

The Dirt on the Crucible
So, wonder what this "Crucible" thing is you keep hearing of is, right? Well, let me see if I can explain it to you without boring you to tears.

Essentially, the Crucible is a functioning virtual world that exsists here, at these forums. Users that sign up in the Immigration Office are added to the world where you, as a User, become part of the Crucible and interact with it as you would the world around you.

In the Crucible, which takes place in the ficticious city of Alturas and it's outlaying districts and suburbs, you can have a custom-made character which you can buy clothes for; not to mention get a job, buy a car and a house, and work your way up the social ladder.

There are many others here, including myself, that are a part of the Crucible. You are able to tell because above the user's name is a character - those that are not part of the Crucible do not need one and thus do not have one. Simple as pie.

The Crucible is always being expanded upon to make it more interactive - and hopefully one day - more realistic. We're striving to meet demands and doing our best to do so. So if you have any suggestions of what you'd like to see, please let us know.
