Sim refuses to go to work!

Recently, one of my female Sims got married and had a baby. Prior to this, she was in the adventurer career track. They gave her maternity leave and everything seemed fine. However, I noticed that her career was mysteriously changed from deep sea diver to Space Pirate, which is the top of that career ladder. When their baby became a toddler, I tried having the female Sim go to work. I made sure she was in a good mood and I also hired a nanny. For some reason though, she absolutely refused to go to work. The husband sim is perfectly able to get in the car to go to work, but not the female sim. Every time I try to get her to get in the car, the command disappears from the top of the screen. It is extremely frustrating. Any suggestions?

Sometimes yo ucan use the moveobjects on cheat to "reset" the sim back to what they should be.
Open the cheat menu by pressing the ctrl,shift and c key at the same time.
Type in moveobjects on and press the enter key.
Go into buy mode and click on the sim and delete her.
You might want to do this while the hubby sim is home.
Now save the game and exit the lot and then go back in.
Your sim should be standing by the mailbox .
You can also try deleting the groups cache file in your My Documents/ea games/sims2 folder and see if it helps.
