I've got a similar problem. I didn't get any shortcut. When I try to run it from the .exe or autorun, it wont work. Just says that the application stopped working.

I havn't expierienced anything else than a "Application stopped working" message, and that I get no shortcut.

I might be wrong, but shouldn't the Spore Shortcut be located in Windows Vista under Start > Games?

Yeah, but thats not the problem. Thats was just something weird I was experiencing, (and no, there was no shortgut under start -> games). I've tried to run it from the .exe and autostart, but failed.

Odd. That's where it should be. Wait. Are you playing creature creator or Spore?

Well, my only thought at the moment is to "reinstall"
