Grr... Spore freezes on the move to the Civilization level. All my people are just standing around the town center or whatever it's called. And no text is appearing on the bottom black bar.

Could you define what sort of freeze you're experiencing? Like the mouse doesn't move? The keyboard doesn't move? Etc.

The mouse moves, it just sort of stops loading...

How long do you usually wait? A few seconds? Or several minutes before deeming it froze?

Would you also please post up a dxdiag report?

It stopped freezing, after I downloaded the new patch, even though it said itcouldn't install it. lol.

HAHAH! Nice! So the patch appears to be fixing several problems :D
