also to upgrade your graphics do you have to open up your comp and stick something in there or can you just install something?

You need to upgrade: CPU/Memory/Video

At least get a Pentium 4 (not celeron) 1.5Ghz or higher
512MB RAM
and decent GeForce FX card (5200 or 5600 or 5700)
