Man! I'm livid! A bunch of the team and webmasters I know have been talking and we're ABSOLUTELY NOT HAPPY that the game was leaked! That means for the rest of us who have been fighting for a minimal DRM footprint for The Sims 3 may ending up suffer the wrath of EA and The Sims Studio and get a DRM shoved down our throats later in the series...
This pisses me off. How about you? How do you feel about the leak?

Doesn't surprise me actually!

I figured something like this would happen. It seems like most highly anticipated games get leaked early. It is unfortunate, but not all that surprising.
Hopefully EA realizes that something like this would have happened regardless of what kind of DRM they used that just leave it be.

EA does not need to worry about me wasting my quota to download the game anyway.

Did they enforce that limit on how much downloading all Aussies can do yet?

This sucks big time. I mean come on, EA makes concessions for the rights of legit players and the pirates goes and screws it all up for all of us. GAH!!!!!!!!!

And you're surprised this happened in what way? :ducks:
I had a pretty good idear that this would happen especially with people wanting it like crazy!

This is true. Although, lets say that the game was to have been released with Securom, there would still be a ton of people pirating the game. It almost seems like the more technology advances the easier it is to get what you want for free.
It is frustrating though cuz now who knows what EA will do for future expansions.

Exactly! I think our day in the sun has been forecasted with rainy weather in the future!

I hate it that we are the ones who will end up paying for the leak.

Who is enforcing what limit? Is this about the story about Aussies being a majority of pirates? :P
Our ISPs charge us a ton for bandwidth mainly because of how few uplinks we have to other countries. Now honourable chairman Rudd plans to give everyone 100Mbps links, yet no plans to upgrade our uplinks...
Yet even with our small quotas we still manage to pirate so much, often TV shows, this is because even with our 3 TV networks 'fast tracking' the eps, we still are 2-3 weeks behind the US.

Oh Ok I thought they were going to limit how much bandwidth your people could use altogether.
