Christmas 2004 release?

With all this talk about the fiscal reasoning for the Sims 2 release to be pushed back, am I the only one who thinks they're going to release it in time for NEXT Christmas?

Which would mean CASIE in Sept. most likely. Maybe thinking of it this way will lead to less disappointment.

Never the less, I still am upset at the way it was handled more than anything else. Don't say Spring 2004 if you can't release it then. Especially if other EPs like Makin Magic were released especially in time for Halloween and that date was met.

So I'm really thinking that they're going to squeeze all the profits that they can by releasing it around Thanksgiving. If the whole EA fiscal explanation is on the money.

But wouldn't it be funny if no one bought it? As in boycott for the first two weeks? Maybe even the prices will drop. (Not that any of us Sim fans would do that since this game is anxiously awaited. Just a thought)

Thats pointless, the makin magicrelease time was from its theme, they would not do that, besides, they already know that players will snap out at it as soon as it comes out.

I dont think Maxis would do such things, they know we like the game and they are trying their best to get it out when they say it will be out, but what would you rather have. They release it when they said they were going to the first time only to encounter bugs or some things that really needed to be changed, then you would have to go through a whole process of complaining so they know whats wrong and wait for them to come out with a patch for the game, or, let them say they need a few extra months to work on the game and fix what they need to and possibly add a few extra things to make the game that much better? They arent in it for the money (well yes but not in that way), they want us to have the best Simming experence we can possible have.

I am sick of these delays. Do you know what I wish? I wish they would undo their delayies! Or reverse delay because it came out early. It would be even better if I could become a beta tester! Heck I would be happy with it if it violated union laws to become a beta tester!

Holy Crap, maybe they should have applied some of these delay tactics to the pile of crap they call Sims Online. They had no problem releasing that load full of bugs.

Well, hopefully with the new console game coming out in the Fall, that should cover Maxis' Fall/Winter sales and they'll release TS2 during the summer, when everyone can play it :) Or, maybe that's just me and my wishful thinking... :laugh:

I am also tired of the delays...and tired of walking into gamespot and asking for the new release date--->only to be disappointed once again...they need to quit playing the game and ship it out ALREADY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!~but that's just me I guess.
