Well I know this sounds stupid - but EVERYTHING!

You have all these fields, and while some look to be self-explanatory, how about adding a brief descriptor to help those of us who are clueless figure out what goes where.

Name: * Mine or the Simmie?
Credit to:: My name or the person who might have done the original?
Description: * Got this one!
Gender: * Ditto
Image File (JPEG/GIF ONLY): * JPGs too? Does this mean you don't want the JPEG/GIF included in the zip?
File (ZIP FILE ONLY): * Can I use the Sims2 Packager, or only WinZip?
Body Section (Top/Bottom/Whole): * Absolutely no idea!*?#?
E-Mail: With concerns about spammers, is this a must?

Name: Object Name (like Green on Red or UFO Galor...)
Credit To: Let's say you used a mesh from SimFreaks, so you gotta give em credit.
Image: We want a JPEG or GIF Version of the Image. Some people sent up their images in a ZIP file. Others sent in a Bitmap (BMP). It gets annoying because there isn't a level degree of uniformity. Bitmaps are simply horrible because they get too big for something so simple. ZIPs will be read by the system, but not by the database when it comes publishing time.
File: Package your .sims2skin or .package in a zip file. We're trying to streamline the download process (making it faster)

Body Section: This is applicable to clothing only. Sometimes you can list a combo, like Top/Bottom.
Email: Required because sometimes we update the database, and then we need a definitive way of contact you. Spammers won't get it because its strictly for admin purposes.

I've been to both sites and SimAbobe's seems to be a lot more racy. I think it was the near naked lady in the "g string" which he was thinking of. Some parents would have a cow about that, which I believe was all that Josh was trying to get across. He didn't say don't go. He just said to be aware.

In terms of the TS1 content used as TS2, it's a wonder that it works. The outfits must have a similar enough mesh that when you enlarge the TS1 .bmp to make the TS2 .bmp you can still use it.

Just a quick question ... Is anyone out there actually making new meshes yet? Even some new bump maps, or even better a quick tutorial on "how to" make new bump maps/modify existing ones.

I did do a mod on the bump map of the Maxis jeans jacket to add a button to one of the patch pockets but I never got it looking completely right.

Finally re: "Some parents would have a cow about that" Can I just say that I am over 50 and I am saddened (but not surprised) by such narrow-mindedness? (I mean the 'some' parents, not you, Kat! :) ).

No new meshes yet.

But several people are modifying the bump (texture) maps. In fact, Nanshi-Nibble has a "tutorial" here at World Sims on how to do them. (That's how I learned.)

As to nudity, the only rudeness with it is when people post it to G rated sites instead of to sites which don't have that restriction. There's a time and a place for everything.

PS, I'm not a parent. My husband and I spent a load of money trying to get at least one of them more than 10 years back now, but it never happened. However, I did obviate the need for breast implants from the Pergonal and several people who stayed at my house while I was on the Pergonal (a high powered fertility drug, if you hadn't figured that out or known it already) got pregnant (even some who had been told that it was impossible for them to get that way.) We figure it was something I produced in the air. (One lady even ended up with twins!)

Good post, Kat. Ya just put big silly old smile on the front part of my head. Reminded me of some friends of mine a few years ago who swore that a pigeon was working its way down their street sitting on roofs. A few days after it had taken up residence on a roof the lady of house became pregnant. My friend's husband was talking about buying a shotgun cos they had 2 already ... both at high school! :D

I have a question... when Ive downloaded something from the official sims site, it's "logo" or whatever is a white sim on a blue background (they are SIMS2PACK or SIMS2SKIN) and when I doubleclick it, I can install it and everything is ok. But some stuff I download from other pages, their "logos" just looks like a paper with a box on or sumething...:confused: and when I double click them it doesnt work no matter what I do...(theyre .PACKAGE files).. :( please help me I know my question might be difficult to understand but my English isnt perfect.... :o

And also one last question, when Ive created a shirt or something in bodyshop, how can I get a pic of it?? lol sorry for the silly question but I honestly dont know..
