I'm learning Corel Painter8 (and will also be learning Adobe Photoshop in a few weeks), MayaPLE and HTML.

I figure those will keep me *very* busy over the summer!

For now I'm mostly playing UT2004 and working with UED3 and MayaPLE to try and make my own maps. Hopefully my MayaPLE skills will come in handy for the sims. So far I like what I see. The body shop is very user friendly so far and offers a tremendous amout of modification.

I'm keeping busy, just got a gameboy advance sp and the game Harvest Moon Friends of Mineral Town... so that's the current distraction, along with re-reading a ton of my books I haven't read in a long time, and making body shop content, and TRYING to get around to working through a few learning experiements in 3D.... That should keep me busy!

Just found a adobe photoshop lesson book at Costco.... So even tho it's for a more advanced version than what I have, at least now I can learn the basics. Hooray!:rolleyes:

I cut 8 inches off the length of my hair, re-did all the graphics and layout for my blog, and scrubbed down my kitchen floor, counters, stove, and toaster oven this week.... :D

Maybe I'm grooming EVERYTHING?! :o

I'm pretty much not doing anything besides playing TS1 like crazy and surfing through all these sims fansites...then there's always msn messenger:silly: but in two weeks I'll have something to take my mind off TS2, at least for a few days.. I'm going on a shopping spree in Denmark! :coolnessl: can't wait, it's gonna be so much fun:silly: then I'll probably just find something else to do..find an really adiccting game, or maybe get my old PS1 from the basement and plug it in! hey, that's a good idea! then there's always my baby..my guitar! and I wont be forgetting my friends..I hope:cool: lol...nahh I wont forget about them! so I guess I'll have tons of stuff to do! but it's still gonna be a looooooong wait....:alien:

My latest distraction is packing up all the pots and pans and dishes and winter clothes and tons of BOOKS we're not using right now, getting ready to MOVE before Sims 2 comes out! :p This is a pretty big distraction! ;)

out of all controllers of the 3 consoles out today... the worst is PS2... the wire always breaks

I'm adjusting to ALL the controllers as I don't have much experience with them, so far the most difficult for me to control seems to be the X-Box, a lot of the time I press buttons and apparantly didn't hit them hard enough or hold them down long enough... :rolleyes:

I think the PS2 has one of the BEST controllers. And the wire breaking isn't exactly a design flaw. The gamecube is bad, at least for some games. I was at the Calgary Stampede, at a booth that had Mario Kart: Double Dash on it. A is accelerate, and the Z button (fire weapon) is above the A. So you have to take your finger off the accelerate to fire. What a bad idea.

Well I have played Mario Kart: Double Dash but you put your thumb on A and your index finger on Z.... and well if you need to keep your room clean PS2 isnt that good because you cant roll up your controller!

Anyone remember that PC game called "Pharoah" by Sierra?!?! OMG.. I REALLY LOVE IT!! I remember playing it back when I was a freshman in HS.. and lemme tell ya, what a riot! It's sorta like AOE and AOM, but with a little diff. twist :lick:

I can think of a TON of less painful ways to pass the time... um... reading... reading is nice and peaceful... unless you have 3 cats trying to climb in your lap and claim the attention the book is getting, or chasing each other over the top of your HEAD as you sit there trying to be peaceful... or mewing pitiously as if they haven't been fed for WEEKS when it's still hours away from their snack time...

Sept.17th is not so far away compared to the Nov.17th release of Lord of the Rings, Return of the King extended edition dvd. I think I'll just get a copy of the pc game from my brother and play it over and over. Faramir rox!!!:cool:
