One very striking thing about The Sims...

"Original Plots"

I've found myself wanting to develop a Sims Comixbook, based on what I've done with actual play on the original. The experience helped fuel interest in taking up 2D anime, and better drawing techniques on Photoshop.

Mr. and Mrs. Goth left their mark as unwitting mentors as to finding a way to make something "sensational". Even though I use dial-up, and wished that I could get cable internet access to view them new Sims2 movie trailers... I'm stuck with a Macintosh. (( love to see an iMovie come out ))

... Let's see if I can upload a couple of my pieces up here - jpg version.

Looks like uploading images will be a snap.

There's a music video from PRIMUS, which has that Plastic Cowboy Look, out of Texas. --- That particular band also did the opening song for some anime called SOUTH PARK.

Somehow, I got to see the other piece that had been done for a Duracell Battery commerical - where some plastic people spend a summer night out in camp. (( Haven't a clue when this particular ad was seen on American Television. ))

One more factor...

Every artist is going to develop differently. I honestly can't do Marvel or Japaneese Anime. What works for me personally is using watercolor, airbrush, oils, pencil, and ink at the same time. --- just the whole treatment.

I decided to just take a Character from one of my Comixart Stories - Spur Ballyshannon... and see what the dude would look like in a Sims2 format. What happened instead looked like something out of "Chucky" from Childs Play... with to scratched up face.

Decided to draw a Cowboy Outfit - based on Rawhide Kid. Only this time, I felt the Sim Model is a bit "Stiff". No problem - just simply relax his pose. He now stands a bit self confident and assured.

The final one - is an idea for a leisure Mortimer Goth wardrobe.

---

All you really need is a paint program and touch of the premade templates from Sims2 to get started. Perhaps you may want to alter the size of the character for a more natural look.

The Cowboy Outfit - I made the head a bit bigger and thickened the whole body. Would go without saying that variety is helpful.

I've aged The Gothe's a bit -

The last 3 portraits of the aged Goths remind me of painting style like Van Gogh, where it looks like nice think paint laid on with thick brushstrokes or a pallette knife. :D

Very good works of art... you should though try some other people.. such as the newbies or other original sims in The Sims.

It sounds a little "shocking" and yet it's been done with the Original.

With the established Easal, there were just a limited amount of images you can just paint (( - quite unlike what the Sims2 is offering, where the person can paint what's right in front of them. Remembers seeing an example on the Sims2 shots.))

... Also likes to include 2D anime and mess around with iMovie. The idea of making pretty cheesy sim2 movies to include three headed myth_monsters and interesting car chase scenes sounds too tempting.

This would make filming much easier to those who can't comprehend 3-D anime / rendering programs. I can't wait for the Mac Version to come out... the possibilities of just designing your own stories the way YOU WANT THEM seems more real now.

(( I think I've taken something as far as it can go. ))

Then again, artist tend to push the envelope when it comes to expression.
