heehee sounds like you're having fun following the show... I'd never heard of it before just now from reading this here. I don't watch reality shows much at all... I've noticed there are a TON of them that started popping up around the time of the Actor's Guild Strikes when the members of the Screen Actors Guild went on strike and wouldn't work on tv or movies till the strike was over!!

You should actually consider watching Fae. It is probably the best reality TV show that you could ever watch. It isn't like Survivor or anything but the best part about it is the sceneary changes because the groups are racing across the world :)

Oh, that might be fun... I used to LOVE cross country road trips because I would look out the windows at the changing scenery, watching it get all flat, or hilly, or have mountains, or watching there be different kinds of trees and flowers on the sides of the road. :)

It would be hard to rehearse then. Primarily because if they stop to redo shots, then other teams get an advantage over them.

SO how fair would it be that one teams has to do reshots, then get eliminated and another team who doesn't have to redo shots, and makes it to the pitstop...

In this post's photo the difference between them are obvious as one is wearing glasses. But frankly I do see a difference... It is possible to tell identical twins apart. :p :p :p

We have identical twins in my extended family, two of my cousins are identical, but one developed a small mole by his knee and then when they got a little older, one had a deeper voice than the other, and they started developing different builds because they liked different sports. :) I noticed the difference in the race twins with the one having glasses!! :p

I get the impression they are being covered by cameras all the time and then it gets edited to make the tv show episodes. I don't know if it's currently happening, or if it was all recorded earlier and is now being broadcast, like Real World was....

yea, i dunno. Theres just something fishy about all that, like in big brother it makes sense theres camera's all over the house running all the time, but like on survivor... these people are really starving yet theres like video camera's all over and people must be holding them somehow... else the survivor people would like.. go turn them off y'know? lol they cant like... hide them in the trees can they?

I've never seen an episode of survivor... I suppose they could put cameras in trees, or on poles, or zoon in from satellites in this day and age! But I would guess there's camera crew stuck out there to record it all, and THEY would be getting food etc. because THEY aren't part of the contest! :)

The only "reality tv" shows I've seen were some bits of Real World shows, and some pretty silly dating shows.... I've never watched any of the contest shows.

Amazing Race is soooo neat:)

It isn't like surivor and it is the most unique show I've seen

What happens is that several teams composed of two people in some sort of previous relationship (married, dating, brothers, sisters, twins, father-son) go on a race around the world seeing who can get around the world. Each pit stop (break period that lasts for 12hrs) usually results in an elimination meaning one team gets sent home packing.

Between the pit stop they leave, and the pitstop they are trying to reach, they received clues in sealed envelopes. Some contain challenges while others are information on how to get there.

Time and Money is of the essence cause money can help you in the final parts of the round (eg. when Rob and Brennan from the first Amazing Race borrowed a cell phone from a lady in Alaska and paided all her to use it.)

The first team to cross the finish line wins the title, plus a million US Dollars :)

Update: Legs 9/10

Leg 9 was a nonelimination round and
Leg 10 was an elimination leg. Who got eliminated? John Vito and Jill...

Derek and Drew are in first place and they are currently in Singapore :) (yes and tess is right now in the process of kissing the ground they walked on :p)

And enclosed is a picture of Derek and Drew and the Singapore Zoo about to swim with Manatees :)
