Roller Coaster Tycoon is a really neat game. I like to put all the intensive rides in one section of the park, build a single restroom on the other side of the park and watch the kids dash off before tossing their cookies.
I know, it's an odd thrill, but it takes all kinds right?
I dig Alpha-Centauri. I build the BIG bomb and see how big a crater I can make out of neighbors.
No, I did not torture kittens when I was young.

Except for sims, and now SC3000, Warcraft III, some starcraft, ThemePark World and Theme Hospital, Civlization II (don't have III) cards ... well that's about it ...

Yeah! I like it when you have to solve problems and think. So games like starcraft and warcraft is on "the border". You can't solve anything with peace there. You always have to fight.
That's why I want to learn more about chess. Learn the way you have to think ahead and plan. Wish I had someone around her to discuss it with ... with a real chessboard available. My daughters friend plays alright...

I've been recommended to get myself Tropico.
I don't even know if I can get it here in Sweden at all. I understand it's a couple of years old or so. is that correct?

I play the Sims, Zoo Tycoon, Zeus, Pharoh, Majohng, Lords of the Realm (a while back on that though, not currently installed...) and I think the other one I used to play a lot, again not installed now, was Heroes 3. I OWN Creatures 2... but I could never figure it out and then I packed it away somewhere and never reinstalled it... I also have a Small Soldiers game I used to play, but not that much. I tend to like games where I get to build stuff....

Oh I forgot to put one of the games I like to play, it's called Princess Maker 2... but I would guess it's rated for teens?? It's got japanese anime style graphics, you raise a girl who falls in a meteor at about age 10, some magical guardian tells you to take care of her, you play the role of her father and raise her and teach her classes and she goes adventuring and fights monsters and stuff, and each year there's a contest and she can enter cooking, dancing, art, or fighting contest. It's pretty fun. :) When she turns 18 you get to find out what the rest of her life is like based on what she learned and how she turned out and stuff, she usually marries, has a career, etc.

It looks like it was originally made to play on tv using a game system like nintendo maybe... the graphics are cute old ones, very pixelated. :classic:

Reminds me a lot of those tamogotchi pets.
FaeLuna
10-19-2002, 09:40 PM
well maybe not THAT pixelated!! heehee!! We got a little keychain creature thing like the ones all the rage for a while, it was a Christmas present that was one of our first presents to BOTH of us as a couple, the year before we got married, it was a Yoda and he had you train to be a Jedi!! really cute... heh. But once I played it through one time I didn't restart it, the thing was TOO demanding!!

Its a RTS but you get heroes wich can go up levels
FaeLuna
11-08-2002, 12:47 PM
ummmm uhh.. what does RTS stand for? I'm afraid I'm REALLY uninformed and out of the loop if it's not a Sims game!! :p That's part of why I want to learn more about other games.... :whitekitty:
FaeLuna
11-08-2002, 12:49 PM
Hey, what's happening with the polls??!! This one says it's only got 10 votes total... but there are more than that if you add the number for each thing that it shows just above that?! Is this a glitch? I noticed it on another poll too.... :(

Warcraft III.. I've played it a lot - and was almost through the all missions when my puter crashed.. *sighes* And there are no traces left of it.. *sighes* So I have to start from the beginning again.... It's pretty fun game. But there are points in it I don't understand. I would have liked to finish by being an elf or good human..
FaeLuna
11-09-2002, 01:03 PM
oh you can be an Elf in WarcraftIII?? I want to hear more about this!!! :D Can someone write a review of it in the Reviews section here?? Pretty please!! *flutters eyes!* :whitekitty: :bunny:
Helén
11-10-2002, 08:59 AM
I'm not the one to write the review, but you don't have a choice of what to be when you start the missions.
You start as human anyway, then for each mission you change into another life (or dead) form. :)

I play solitaire :p
But apart from that... SimCity 2000, SimCity 3000, Simtower, Rollercoaster Tycoon, Railroad Tycoon 2, The Sims, Grand Theft Auto 3, Mafia, Warcraft 3, Sportscar GT, Colin McRae Rally 2, Black and White, Max Payne..... thats all i can think of at the moment.
The best PC game ive played would have to be Mafia. After playing it 6 hours a day for 10 days i finished it.... so im waiting for a sequal. I give it 10 out of 10. If you're wondering, its like a cross between Max Payne and GTA3 really. Highly recommended - but not for younger children.

→ My favorite computer games would have to be... Roller Coaster Tycoon (Love crashing fully-loaded coasters into the food-court :D), Combat Flight Simulator (like having head-on crashes with other planes and going down in a ball of flames), and Age of Mythology .. what can I say? I like causing destruction in the video game world. :devious: ;)
