DVD-ROM necessary for DVD version?

Perhaps this is a dumb question as I see no one else asking it, but I was wondering if the DVD version of TS2 will play on a CD-ROM drive.

Perhaps this is a dumb question as I see no one else asking it, but I was wondering if the DVD version of TS2 will play on a CD-ROM drive.
The DVD version will only work in a DVD drive, not a CD drive which can play DVDs. The type of drives it will work in will have DVD R, DVD RW, DVD ROm in the name somewhere.

And you aren't the only one to have ever asked this question.
