WorldSims and Allsocoast.net Announces Merger to Sims Community.

Monday, October 07, 2002 - Details of rumored merger between Affiliates Allsocoast.net and WorldSims has been officially confirmed today to the Sims Community.

After working out details between WorldSims and Allsocoast.net, an agreement has been reached between WorldSims and Allsocoast.net in this new joint partnership. The proposed merger will be most provide a vast amount of resources that viewers of both Allsocoast.net and WorldSims. It was agreed that this merger was beneficial to all parties, and particular to the Sims Community during the merger talks.

Also announced because of the merger is "Merger Week" where WorldSims and Allsocoast.net will be importing the downloads from Allsocoast.net into the WorldSims Database (ZIP/MAC Area) on the week of October 7, 2002. New and old downloads will make there way up the WorldSims Downloads Area.

Results of the merger includes Allsocoast.net combining its downloads with WorldSims in addition to having Rentechd, Administrator and Webmaster of Allsocoast.net become an Administrator, Forum Administrator (http://forums.worldsims.org), and one of the Head Webmaster of WorldSims.org.

Rentechd of Allsocoast.net is also one of the leading object designers designing some of the beautiful, stunning, original objects.

I am very happy that we have been able to get this merger worked out and that I can join Worldsims to bring you all some nice things for your Sims. I have long known that maintaining a site was taking more of my time then I could afford to spend and still devote myself to making objects.

Over the next week I will be moving more of my objects to Worldsims, even objects that have not been available on the site in over a year, as well as new items to add to those sets. I also have several new sets and objects to bring you as the week progresses.

Additionally, the grocery store items for Old Town will be posted (as promised) as soon as a small bug is solved with getting then to show up in Old Town. Grandmother's house is coming for Thanksgiving, and Santa's workshop is in the works for Christmas.

Hopefully, with Josh doing all the hard site work my objects will stay on schedule!

I just had to read this since it was linked from the sticky thread too!! Wow!!! This sounds like a big project!! I'm glad it will clear up your time to make more objects RentechD, that will be great!! I will have to go on a browsing/downloading spree when I get back to my home computer!!
