The Sims helped open up my confidence in developing short stories. Unlike having to pull things out of "thin air" - create-a-sim gave a good idea as to what I would have the Characters appearance and wardrobe to design for a Western / Victorian Genre.
Various website clubs - had all sorts of downloads, ranging from Antique looking furnishings and stagecoaches. Mostly, stuff I watched such as those television shows like "Gunsmoke" and "Have Gun Will Travel." helped give some clue as to how to design the buildings for paricular parts of the story.
Even though a Macintosh is limited to what can be done with the first version of The Sims --- I liked the fact that it was helpful in designing some decent looking buildings. (( Stuff one would expect by going to some trap like Frontier town. ))
The storyline tends to go past the safety "zone" of what the Sims is ment to be played. I thought seriously if some of the yahoo clubs would still take my idea and develop something with it.
What I wanted is something like - an Adventure type of RPG, where it also includes having career choices as cattle being moved from one end of town to another across the boarder.
I don't know any games - where the object is to get as many cows to get from a constantly moving landscape, and rescue them from certain traps along the way. The idea of watching a Sim character at work - other than for the famous exansion pack "superstar". This would really push that idea of trying to include adventure like stuff.

Morgan & Euryien Paget
--- This is a brother / sister that travelled on stagecoach to a better life after the Civil War Ravaged countless of cities in the east coast. What they mean to Ocotillo Flats will determine if the township will decide let either the U.S. or Mexico will govern the citizens or not.
Series 01 - Year 1866
12 issue Comic book storyboard script serial.
--- a sims game drama.

Spur & Lars Ballyshannon
These two are brothers, and close friends with the Pagets. The theme of how the series goes is the issue about "relationships". Expect one of them to marry Morgan by the end of the series.
The other brother will get bitten by a werewolf - and it's not known if he will be cured of the blood virus that causes his skin, hair and eyes to look really creepy looking as the story continues.
Lars on the otherhand get's killed in the series - when a pack of werewolves bust into the Saloon. Don't expect him to just leave the picture as he re-appears as a ghost haunting and protecting the Saloon.

Will you work more on this story and draw a comic book based on this? It sounds interesting to me, I'd like to see how things turn out for the werewolf and ghost brothers! :) I'm guessing you have the plot scripted out for the 12 issues? Are you basing any of this on sims gameplay?

Fae,
I haven't forgotten about developing "Meet The Goths." --- enclosed with the upload, after "Werepuma" is a sample image idea, which features the entire Goth family, and Mrs. Katt.
My artwork needed to get "better" and really get "inside" the heads of the Sim Characters to stay within the Spirit of the Game. Remember watching Sam Raimi doing "Spiderman" and thinking how he best captured Peter Parker.
... like anything else, one has to crawl before they can run with some creative idea. This is my way of getting my running legs. Can I actually hold my own as a Graphic Artist & Stay Original...

I've done my best to get that "dog" face look - and they end up looking like Cat Faces instead. --- kinda figured it was due to having a pet cat "Cinder" and her friends as an everyday reminder.
Decided to just accept the fact - that not "everything" will work out as one would expect ---- but this carried so well !!!
Here's the before and after - transformation sample art.

One interesting idea - is that thing from "Superstar" where you have to solve a puzzel and get two chances. If you get it wrong, the sim body sinks below the surface at least a depth.... so one would get at least 8 chances of getting it wrong, which would bring the Grim Reaper to show up to take the sim soul away.
Another is being able to have a neat element of "resuing" a sim - which can have effects such as gaining a "new" social contact in your sim box, and just improving body and charisma by one point.
One can punish "your" sim character by allowing the NPC character to die off - by subtracting a Charisma point.
----- Now all you need is something else in the gameplay to really make the game worth getting.... Have skins made for pets to look like Sheep, Cattle, Pigs and Goats.
The object of the game is to simply get as many of them creatures from one town to the next, without losing them to wolves and pumas.
This quicksand traps would also apply for the animals, so you can imagine by the time the sim character loses a few of them, he / she's probably out of Charisma points.
Mean gameplay --- but it will teach people that you can't save everything.

Had some problems with a very "angry" member on Yahoo - resulting that one of my art galleries and the email account getting T.O.S. (( this means that I can't go forward with loading up the artwork for the 12 issues with that particular account. Plans for developing the sims comicbook went with that as well. ))
Switched the screen name account here for earthlink.net
I'm already looking for alternatives to post the artwork, such as a domain or developing an HTML site. Still looking into this and open for suggestion.
