Having babies

My sims have lots of wild sex, but no babies, and im selecting "try for babies" and i've done it a lot, yet no babies. Can sims be sterile? Am i gonna have to adopt cuz thats just stupid. Is there a way to improve the chance of having babies? Thanks;)

I believe it's random so maybe just keep trying. Having said that I've never had anyone fail to conceive first time (5 babies), and all my people were platinum. Maybe that has an effect?

Yeah, I think the good mood has something to do with it.

And make the sims have lots of sex around the same time.
Ya may get twins or more

I got a baby on the first try. I didn't see what mood my characters were in.
