Need some help

Hi, I just joined this site. I'm looking for help in downloading stuff from here. After I download stuff from here, winzip comes on, and I extract the item. Why is it that anything I download does not show up in my game? If anyone has some instructions it would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks.

Bobby:)Are you extracting the files to the correct folders?
Objects (.iff files): C:/Program Files/Maxis/The Sims/Downloads

Skins (.bmp files and .cmx files): C:/Program Files/Maxis/The Sims/GameData/Skins

Floors (.flr files): C:/Program Files/Maxis/The Sims/GameData/Floors

Walls (.wll files): C:/Program Files/Maxis/The Sims/GameData/Walls

I have a question about the downloadin as well for a few days now I havent been able to download anything and I cannot veiw any of the pictures any thoughts of it?
